The 3-acre campus is an oasis of green in the concrete of the metropolis. With a sprawling and plush lawn, manicured shrubs and copses, and aesthetically designed buildings, the IHM Kolkata campus is the ideal one for both learners and trainers. Other than the Institute building and the Staff Quarters, the campus houses the Boys’ and the Girls’ Hostels also. The Boys’ Hostel accommodates more than 150 students whereas the one for the girls can accommodate about 65. Most of the rooms are rented on a triple-sharing basis with a few single rooms which are allotted to the final year students only. The mess is managed by the students themselves which ensures an opportunity for the students to put into direct practice what they learn in the classrooms. To help the students in their lives after college, there is a Hostel Warden for each hostel who is supported by an Administrator.
The Boys’ and Girls’ hostels are located in the Institute campus with separate mess facility. Those who fail to secure the Institute hostel seat due to paucity of accommodation are helped by the Institute to get private hostel accommodation in a nearby locality on sharing basis.
